SCREEN 02 · STQUANT · HINDSIGHT LAB · LOCAL HISTORY
NOT A FORECAST — A POST-MORTEM STQUANT HINDSIGHT LAB
STQuant is not ours — it is a leaked AI. The model arrived as a dump from a fund that no longer exists: a gold quant that was right often enough to be worth stealing and too opaque to trust. Starfall took it apart, fixed what was broken, and has been rebuilding it ever since — tens of millions of dollars poured into the tick archive, the servers, the researchers and the engineers who keep improving it, every day, with no end date. It now reads 423,257 five-minute gold bars from September 2020 to September 2026, scores every candidate against a 28-check entry list, and replays the sample bar by bar in front of you: no candle is invented, and the only live element on the page is the ticker above it. It buys the low and sells the high at the levels the tape actually printed, then flips and runs the same trade back the other way — which is why the targets here are measured in hundreds of points, not ticks. The desk publishes the whole thing because it no longer needs the edge to be secret: the book already buys a sports car every hour, and this screen is the receipt.

Click any row in the trade log and that trade is pinned here — the chart zooms to its window, the checklist prints every check that fired with the number it measured, and the excursion bars show how far it ran both ways.

Hindsight means the row reads the whole window before it enters — it buys the low and sells the high. It is what the desk trades from, and it is a demonstration of the rule rather than a promise about the next hundred trades.
Every time the book doubles the payout fires: half of the excess is taken off the table and half stays in, so the floor ratchets up and each step is taller than the one before it instead of the same $10,000 → $20,000 step repeating. — The green line is the book, the caption bar is the cash already paid out.

Every cell is the sum of pips booked in that month, coloured by sign — green months on the left of zero, red on the right. The strip under the table is the same cells added up year by year.

The desk's own book read as one line: every closed trade adds its pips to the total, so the curve is the run rather than a forecast.
